She has a Law Degree from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) and Master in International Law and Global Justice from Fordham University School of Law (USA). She has an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Paris Nanterre (France).
Executive Director and founder of ProDESC. Since 2005 she has led processes aimed at the protection of economic, social and cultural rights, achieving unprecedented results such as the application of accountability mechanisms to major transnational corporations. Due to the impact of the work she has done, in 2014 she was awarded with the Martin Ennals Award by the International Human Rights Community. Likewise, in 2015 she received recognition from the Mexican Senate for her continuous work as a defender of the rights of workers, migrants and indigenous communities.
Anthropologist from the University of Chicago, Master in Anthropology from the University of Michigan and in Sociology from American University. He holds a Juris Doctor degree from the American University, Washington College of Law. From 2007 to 2009 he was a visiting professor at the University of Chicago.
Since the 80’s he has worked on labor and union issues in Central America, Mexico (where he was Director of the Solidarity Center’s Mexico Program) and the United States. He is currently Director of International Affairs for the United Steelworkers (USW).

She has a long and important career in processes of accompaniment and positive transformation of conflicts and peace building, through the promotion and articulation of processes and civil initiatives, research and editorial production; training, consulting and advocacy. She has participated in the following processes: CONAI, San Salvador Atenco, the Movement for Peace with Justice and Dignity, and COMED, among others. Currently, she is Coordinator of Positive Conflict Transformation Processes at SERAPAZ.
He is a Lawyer and founding member of the European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights (ECCHR) in 2007.
He has worked as a criminal lawyer for the firm Hummel.Kaleck.Rechtsanwälte, of which he is co-founder. He has also teached courses in Latin America, India, China and the Philippines, and is the author of several books on human rights issues. In 2016, Kaleck received the Hans Litten Award, jointly with the Deputy Legal Director of the ECCHR. Also, in 2017 he received the honorary award for his service to human rights by the Bruno Kreisky Foundation. Finally, in 2018 he received the Max Friedlaender Award from the Bavarian Bar Association and in 2019, the Bassiouni Justice Award from the Center for International Law Research and Policy. He is currently Secretary General and Director of the legal area of the ECCHR. He is also part of the legal team defending Edward Snowden.
He is a Lawyer by the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, Master in Criminal Law by the Universidad Latina and Doctor in Law by the Colegio Universitario del Distrito Federal.
Since 1978 he has been working on human rights and constitutional, administrative, criminal and labor law issues at national and international level. He is a professor of Labor Law and Social Security at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana – Azcapotzalco, and teaches undergraduate classes at the Escuela Internacional de Derecho y Jurisprudencia, as well as master’s classes at the Escuela Libre de Derecho. He has served as legal advisor and consultant to labor unions, civil associations and human rights organizations.

He has been a litigator in several areas, particularly in labor, indigenous and agrarian issues. In 1997, he was legal advisor to the National Intermediation Commission directed by Samuel Ruiz, bishop of San Cristobal de las Casas; this Commission directed the discussions that concluded in the San Andres Agreements between the federal government and the EZLN. He has also served in various positions within Mexico City, both in the Executive and Judicial branches. For more than 20 years he has been a professor and researcher at UAM-Azcapotzalco, where he headed the Law Department and the Social Sciences and Humanities Department.
Internationalist with a major in African Studies from Georgetown University and a Masters in Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School, where she received the Jorge Paulo Lemann Fellowship. She also holds a certificate in International Law and Human Rights from Oxford University. In 2015, she was named Ricardo Salinas Scholar.
She has over 20 years of experience in advocacy and research, particularly in Latin America and Africa, where she worked for Amnesty International, Planned Parenthood, the Pan American Health Organization, and CEJIL. She is currently a research fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School on global regulation and transnational corporations with John Ruggie, who served as the UN Special Representative on Business and Human Rights. In addition, Tamaryn consults on sustainability issues for corporations, NGOs and intergovernmental organizations.
She is a Lawyer by the Universidad de la Habana, Master in Law by the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and Doctor in Latin American Studies by the UNAM.
She has dedicated her work to the academy, teaching at UNAM and at the Universidad Autónoma de la Ciudad de México in the areas of Philosophy of Law, Legal Methodology, Comparative Legal Systems, History of Law, Constitutional Law and Human Rights, among others. She has also made numerous academic publications, including the chapter “La exclusión del discurso liberal dominante de los derechos” in the book “Sin derechos. Exclusión y discriminación en el México actual” of the Instituto de Investigaciones Jurídicas de la UNAM (2014) and the chapter “Reflexiones sobre la dialéctica dominación/emancipación en el derecho desde el pensamiento marxista” of the book “Crítica jurídica en América Latina” of the Centro de Estudios Jurídicos y Sociales Mispat de Aguascalientes and the Universidad Federal de Santa Catarina in Brazil (2013).
